The Henry F. Schwiebert Family

Son of Henry and Anna Schwiebert.

Born August 4, 1877 in Adams Township, Defiance County, Ohio, his mother was Anna Von Broeling. He married Anna Michaelis Dec. 11, 1904, (born in Germany Dec. 11, 1878). Her parents were Fred Michaelis and Katherine Eickhoff and lived in Monroe Twp., Henry County, Ohio.

An 80 acre wooded parcel he bought which he cleared and built all his farm buildings was located 21/2 miles east of Holgate, Ohio. He passed away Dec. 6, 1970, in Defiance City Hospital after a short illness at the age of 93. His wife Anna preceded him in death June 16, 1952, at the age of 73. Of seven children born to them, five preceded their parents in death: Loretta in 1906 at age 13 months; Luella in 1928 at age 21 years; Alvera in 1939 at age 29; Harold in 1944 at age 28; and Helena in 1947 at age 33. His son Leonhard who lived on his farm died June 1, 1975, at the age of 63 years. Leonhard was born January 22, 1912, and married Clara Watchman. They farmed near Holgate and had one daughter Connie born June 24, 1951, and she married Tom Schackow who is a laboratory technician.

The surviving daughter Lorena was born July 10, 1908, and was married to Albert Behrman, born April 13, 1906, and died August 28, 1959, at 53. They farmed near Deshler, Ohio, and had twelve children: Loretta born Dec. 1, 1928 married to Fred. H. Schroeder (born June 3, 1925) on Dec. 25, 1950. They farm in Adams Twp., Defiance County. They have two children, Pamela Jayne, born June 17, 1955, and

Tina Marie, born Sept. 1, 1959; Annetta, born May 26, 1930, married to Edwin Rosebrock (May 6, 1928), on Oct. 29, 1950, and they farm in Freedom Twp., Henry County. They have 4 children: Debra Ann, born March 4, 1952, married to Jerry Lange Nov. 23, 1974; John Albert, born June 29, 1954; James, born Jan. 11, 1957; David, born Sept. 22, 1959; Raymond, born July 2, 1932, married Frances Bostelman, born July 28, 1934, on Oct. 23, 1954. He works at Imco in Deshler, Ohio. They have three children: Teresa, born Dec. 21, 1957; Brent, born Feb. 25, 1961; Diane, born June 10, 1967; Robert, born May 11, 1933, married Marcia Wiemkin, born Aug. 15, 1934, on April 22, 1956. He works at Campbell Soup and lives in Napoleon Twp., Henry County. They have three children: Julie, born Oct. 18, 1957; Jane, born March 19, 1960; Jeffrey, born Oct. 5, 1964; William, born Sept. 16, 1934, married Marilyn Bostelman, born July 9, 1936, on May 30, 1959. He works for Johns Manville, Defiance, Ohio, and lives in Adams Twp., Henry County. They have three children: Daniel, born Nov. 1, 1960; Allen, born Sept. 21, 1962; Joel, born Aug. 22, 1967; Delbert, born July 16, 1937, married Lorna Rosebrock, born Nov. 2, 1936, on Nov. 15, 1958. They farm near Deshler, Ohio. They have four children: Timothy, born March 9, 1960; Todd, born Feb. 26, 1961; Tommy, born Apr. 23, 1962. Andrea, born Nov. 6, 1967; Danelda, born Nov. 11, 1938, married Robert Drewes, born July 24, 1938, on Dec. 28, 1957. They farm in Wood County. They have two children: Rhonda Lynn, born Apr. 10, 1958; Mark, born Dec. 7, 1960; Marjorie, born Oct. 15, 1941, married Marvin Behnfeldt, born July 19, 1935, on April 27, 1963. He works on construction in Napoleon Twp. They have two children: Steven, born Nov. 20, 1966, and Lisa, born Oct. 22, 1969; Herbert, born Dec. 6, 1943, married Joyce Hefflinger, born March 28, 1944, on Sept. 26, 1964. He is a civil engineer and lives at Hamler, Ohio. They have two children: Aaron, born Aug. 19, 1967, and Kirk, born May 1, 1970; Darlene Ann, born May 14, 1945, married Lenard Rutter, born April 24, 1943, on Dec. 26, 1965. He is an engineer with the telephone co. at Ashley, Ind. They have one child, Laura Lynn, born Sept. 13, 1974; Harold, born Jan. 25, 1948, died 3 days later; Karen Sue, born Sept. 13, 1949, married Paul Rabe, born Oct. 3, 1948, on April 25, 1970. He is an electrical engineer in the auto industry and they live at Sterling Heights, Michigan. Albert and Lorena were married on August 16, 1928.
