Joshua Rhodes
Joshua Rhodes, son of Jacob Rhodes, was born in 1808 in York County, Pennsylvania.
He married Maria Hall in 1837 and had three children: William H., Jennie Hague, and Fannie Ainger.
He entered the mercantile business in Napoleon in 1863. In 1867, he bought a farm, moved to it in 1871 and spent the rest of his life on the farm.
He was considered a great hunter, an expert marksman, and a great sportsman.
