William Fred Rettig, born November 13, 1879, son of Leonard and Catheryn Yaichner Rettig, married Emma Ardella Rettig March 3, 1907. William died January 16, 1963. Emma was born February 23, 1889 and died November 8, 1976. They had six children: George Albert, William Daniel, Florence Marie, Neal Wilson, Lem Edward, Mildred Marguerene. William Fred was a farmer, and a member of Chambers Baptist Church. He raised fruit, cotton and corn. He was musically inclined.
The first child, George Albert Rettig was born July 25, 1909 and married Helen Elaine Smith, born February 22, 1915, on October 29, 1932, at Carlisle, Arkansas. They are members of Baring Cross Baptist Church. George died May 1, 1959 of leukemia. Their children were Vivian Ailene and William Howard.
Vivian Ailene Rettig was born April 26, 1938. She married Jerry Leon Roberts, born February 12, 1939, on June 6, 1958 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Jerry works for the railroad. They have two children: Tracy born July 27, 1961 and Jerry born May 22, 1964.
The second child, William Howard Rettig was born November 20, 1943. He married Rebecca Ann Dillon in North Little Rock, Arkansas on January 31, 1968. Rebecca was born October 18, 1946. William works for Teletype, and she is a registered nurse. They are members of Geyer Spring Baptist Church. Their children are Bryan Neal, born August 7, 1970 and Phillip Bradley born October 28, 1973.
The second child of William Fred and Emma Rettig was William Daniel, born August 20, 1912. He never married, was a farmer and a member of Chambers Baptist Church. He died on July 10, 1973 of a heart attack. He was a very devout Christian, a hunter and spent years in the Air Force in World War II.
Florence Marie Rettig, a member of Chambers Baptist Church, was born December 27, 1914. She married Forrest Elmer Williams, born March 18, 1912, on July 16, 1932. They had two children: Elmer Ellis and Robert Eugene.
Elmer Ellis Williams was born August 13, 1933 and married Leona Mae Donohoe, of Topeka, Kansas, on January 3, 1954. Leona was born August 25, 1934. Their children are Richard Alan, born November 18, 1954; married Cathy Perez on February 14, 1977. Adopted Seth Williams, born September 9, 1976. Kenneth Dean was born August 29, 1958; and Karla Jean was born March 14, 1961.
Robert Eugene Williams was born January 16, 1937. He married Karla Greta Hoff, of Omaha, Nebraska, on October 19, 1957. Karla was born October 4, 1938. Robert is retired from the Air Force. Robert and Karla had four children: Kathleen Marie, born July 26, 1958, died July 27, 1958; janese Diane, born December 17, 1959; Robert Scott born August 12, 1961; and Barbara Elaine, born January 11, 1963.
Neal Wilson Rettig was born June 20, 1918 and died October 13, 1919.
The fifth child of William and Emma, Lem Edward Rettig, was born January 5, 1922. He is a member of Chambers Baptist Church. Lem spent four years in the Air Force in World War II. He is a musician. He married on June 26, 1953, Dorothy Cartwright, born August 16, 1920. They have one son, Scott Edward born April 5, 1961. Lem worked for Arkansas Power and Light for twenty-five years and is retired. He is a taxidermist and fixed a squirrel band for Ernest Tubb and one for Roy Acuff that can be seen in the Roy Acuff Museum, Nashville, Tennessee.
Mildred Marguerene, the youngest child of William and Emma, was born January 20, 1926. She married Rex Northcutt on July 27, 1945. Rex was born May 14, 1922. They are members of Chambers Baptist Church. They are rice and soy bean farmers on Route 2, Carlisle, Arkansas. They have two daughters, Deborah Ann and Delores
Jean Northcutt. Rex was in World War II and served one year.
Deborah Ann Northcutt was born March 14, 1949. She married Ronald James Humway on June 26, 1970. He was born August 1, 1945 and is a legislative auditor. They are members of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. They have two children: James Russell, born October 30, 1972, and Zachary Paul, born June 23, 1976.
Delores Jean Northcutt was born October 3, 1952. She married Johnnie Raymond Madar on October 12, 1973. He was born on February 27, 1951. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Carlisle, Arkansas, and he belongs to St. Rose Catholic Church, Carlisle. They are farmers. Their son, Ben Matthew Mader, was born on March 21, 1978.
