Issue of Herman and Anna Maria Huber Rausch

Herman Rausch, born February 5, 1805 in Germany, married on November 28, 1839 to Anna Maria Huber, born July, 1819 in Germany. Their issue were: Fredericka Rausch, born December 18, 1840; Karl, Charles, Rausch, born May 19, 1844; Katherine Rausch, born November 27, 1847; Anna Maria Rausch, born October 6, 1850, all born in Germany. Elizabeth Rausch, born September 27, 1853, Karliena, Caroline, Rausch, born July 9, 1895; Anna, Emma, Rausch, born October 29, 1856; John Rausch, born March 29, 1862. All the last four were born in the United States.

Herman Rausch died September 4, 1870, at the age of sixty-five years. Anna Maria died on January 7, 1896, at the age of seventy-six years. They are buried in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery near Napoleon, Ohio.

Karl Charles Rausch, now known as Charles Herman Rausch, and Sophia Helen Guinther, born May 7, 1853, were united in marriage on March 11, 1875 at Bucyrus, Ohio. She was a daughter of Abraham and Barbara Wagoner Guinther who came to Crawford County, Ohio, from Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Abraham Guinther died in 1861 of typhoid fever, leaving Barbara a widow with seven small children: Catherine, Mary, Rose who later mar ried Samuel Brown and lived in Napoleon, Ohio, Elizabeth, Sophia Helen, John, and Emma. Barbara Wagoner Guinther married, second, Mr. Jacoby who lived about three years, then married, third, John Krauter and lived with him about twenty-five years until his death.

The Charles Rausch family bible, now belonging to Helen Simons, Bowling Green, Ohio, contains the following additional information.

Charles Herman Rausch, born May 19, 1844, died at the home of Elizabeth Osborn, November 20, 1924. Sophia Helen Guinther Rausch, born May 7, 1853, died March 29, 1918 at the home of her sister, Emma, in Bucyrus, Ohio. They are buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon. To this union, fourteen children were born.

Susan Edith (Susanna) Rausch, born February 6, 1877, died October 10, 1908, married Franklin Slater Travis on January 29, 1895.

Mary Barbara (Mayme) born November 6, 1878, died September 24, 1954. She married, first, Fred Ulch on December 21, 1899; second, Dr. James Anderson on June 3, 1909.

Arthur K. Rausch, born April 20, 1880, died September 4, 1880.

Carrie Elizabeth Rausch, born April, 1881, died June 6, 1968, married Emanuel Osborn on March 10, 1910.

Kathryn Rausch, born October 11, 1882, married Roy King on April 14, 1907.

Dora Louella born February 8, 1884, married John Osborn, brother of Emanuel on September 19, 1907.

Clarence Edwin Rausch, born July 8, 1885, married Madge Armstrong on December 17, 1906.

Emma Rausch, born October 12, 1886, died October 16, 1888.

Cora Alice Rausch, born September 3, 1889, died March 21, 1975. She married, first, Allie Swinn on June 1, 1924; and second, George Haise.

Carl Frederic Rausch, born May 8, 1891, died July 9, 1975, married Ina Fraizer on October 20, 1912.

Clara Irene Rausch, born August 25, 1894, never married, still lives in Nebraska.

Helen Marguerite Rausch, born May 27, 1896, lives in Bowling Green, Ohio, married Dale Simmons on July 25, 1912.

Two childred died at birth.
