Raymond Lloyd Plotts

Raymond L. Plotts was born in the country near Belmore, Ohio, on April 20, 1927 to Charles and Anna (Casteel) Plotts.

In 1944 he volunteered for active duty in the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Pasadena. After serving four years and rising to the rank of Petty Officer First Class, he was honorably discharged in 1948. He graduated from Deshler High School in 1949.

On April 21, 1951, he married Mary Catherine Wilhelm of Holgate, Ohio, the daughter of Rudolph and Hilda (Okuley) Wilhelm. Raymond is currently employed as a millwright for the Ball Metal Corporation in Findlay, Ohio. He and his wife Mary reside at 341 East Main Street, Deshler, Ohio.

They are the parents of four daughters and three sons: Robert A., born on October 9, 1951, in Findlay, Ohio; Katherine Ann, born on August 19, 1953, in Bluffton, Ohio; Audrey Lou, born on January 7, 1955, in Bluffton, Ohio; Harold Lloyd, born on August 2, 1956, in Bowling Green, Ohio; Anna Marie, born on June 15, 1957, in Bowling Green, Ohio; Raymond Lloyd Jr., born on Decmeber 7, 1958, in Bowling Green, Ohio; and Christine Sharon, born on February 19, 1960, in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Robert graduated from Deshler High School in 1969. He married Christine M. Rosebrock, daughter of Donald W. and Lois (Kuhnash) Rosebrock. He is currently a student at Bowling Green State University majoring in environmental studies. He and his wife Chris, reside at 2256 Roundhead Road, Deshler, Ohio.

Katherine graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1971. She graduated from State Beauty Academy in Findlay in 1972 as a cosmetologist. Katherine married Michael W. Woods, son of Robert W., of Findlay, Ohio, and Marguerite L. (Blunk) Woods, of Deshler, Ohio on October 7, 1972. Katherine and Michael have a daughter, Richelle Lynn, born on November 6, 1973, and a son, Derek Michael, born on March 25, 1976. They reside at 507 West Main Street in Deshler, Ohio.

Audrey graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1973. She is an employee of Deshler Products, in Deshler, Ohio. She is married to Randal R. Nye, son of Robert J. and Leona (Seiler) Nye, on October 4, 1975. They presently reside on County Road L. in Malinta, Ohio.

Harold graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1974. He is an employee of Ball Metal Corporation in Findlay, Ohio and part-time student at Ohio State University in Lima, Ohio majoring in electrical engineering. He married Jeanne A. Meyer, daughter of Fred C. and Edna (Rohrs) Meyer of Deshler, Ohio, on July 1, 1977. They reside at 226 East College Street, Ada, Ohio.

Anna graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1976. She is currently a secretary at St. Thomas More Church in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Raymond Jr. and Christine are currently seniors at Patrick Henry High School. They reside at home with their parents at 341 East Main Street, Deshler, Ohio.
