George Plassman was born Nov. 7, 1890, the fourth child and third son of Frederick and Doris (Otte) Plassman.
He grew up in the home of his aunt and uncle, Henrietta (Plassman) and Henry Ludeman. He lived in the same home at 831 Scott Street, Napoleon, from early childhood until his death on Nov. 17, 1968. During all of his adult life, he operated a plumbing business in Napoleon.
On June 13, 1913 he married Regina Neddermeyer, the daughter of George and Mary (Polker) Neddermeyer.
George and Regina were the parents of two sons, Henry, born Jan. 3, 1917 and William, born June 28, 1923. Both sons served in the armed forces during World War II.
Henry married Helen Gaedde of Napoleon and William married Constance Morris of Leipsic. William and his wife are the parents of three children, David of Route 4, Napoleon, Miriam and Thomas of Leipsic. David married Esther Gerken of Napoleon.
