Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Niese and Family

Paul is the son of John and Dora (Hohenbrink) Niese, of Ottawa, Ohio. Paul moved from Putnam County to Henry County when he married Lorenza Buet. They have 5 children, Leo, Jerome, John, Paula and Geralyn. Paul and Lorenza built a new brick home and farm pond near the PETER BUET HOMESTEAD 19 years ago. Paul farms 200 acres of land and has worked as a toe-motor operator at Campbells Soup Co. for 19 years. Paul is a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a Councilman for 2 years and a member of the Miller City Sportsman Club. Lorenza (Buet) Niese graduated from Holgate High School and Business School in Lima. He worked in the office at Westinghouse in Lima until the death of her brother Jerome. She came back home to be with her parents and worked 2 yrs. in the office at the Pleasant Bend Elevator until she married Paul Niese. Lorenza has been very active in many charity projects for the past 25 yrs. She has held offices in the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Sacred Heart Rosary Altar Society, president for 2 two years terms, and Parish Council. She has held many offices in the Toledo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women for the past 22 years. Her present office is Diocesan International Affairs Commissioner.

Niese Children. Leo graduated from Holgate High School and was in the U.S. Navy 4 years. He attended a 6 year course at General Motors, and is a Jurnaman. Leo married Marlene Koen ing and they have 5 children. Six years ago they built a new home on the Buet - Niese Farm on the Henry and Putnam County Line.

Paula graduated from Holgate High School and airline school and worked for United Air Lines for 9 years. She is married to Joel Hobbs, has two sons, and lives in Seattle, Washington.

Jerome graduated from Holgate High School and was in the U.S. Army for 2 yrs., 1 yr. in the Vietnam War. Jerome married Connie Gilgenbach. They have one son and one daughter and live in the remodeled home of the Peter Buet homestead.

John graduated from Holgate High School and International Telephone and Telegraph School. At present he is working and living in Seattle, Washington.

Geralyn graduated from Holgate High School and Bowling Green State University with a double major in physical education and health and is a teacher at St. Peter and Paul School in Ottawa, Ohio. Geralyn is married to Larry Noirot and live in Putnam County about 11/2 miles from the BuetNiese homestead.
