I, Thomas Richard Moore, was born November 3, 1949. My wife's name is Sandra K. (Mullholand) Moore and she was born on June 16, 1951. We were married September 20, 1969.
My paternal grandparents are Millard, born 1899, died 1958, and Mina Smith Moore, born 1900; they were married December 9, 1918. They were the parents of ten children: Robert, Alice, Mildred, Estella, Herbert, Iva, Russel, James, Donald, and Marjorie.
My maternal grandparents are Dale, born 1908, deceased 1971, and Naomi Watson Starkey, born 1909; they were married March 7, 1927. They have five children: Virginia, Robert, Delores, Kay, and Geraldine.
My grandmother Starkey remembers seeing the original Damascus Bridge built and now she is seeing its reconstruction because she has lived most of her life near it.
My parents’ names are Herbert, born November 12, 1928, and Virginia born May 26, 1930. They were married April 10, 1949. They have two children, myself and Nan born April 22, 1952. Nan married Ronald Bretz August 19, 1972, and they are expecting their first child in July of this year, 1975.
My wife's paternal grandparents were Charles, born March 23, 1887, died October 14, 1967, and Stella Rearick Mullholand, born March 8, 1887, died May 3, 1965. They were the parents of three children: Franklin, Doris, and Charles Jr.
My wife's maternal grandparents were Leo, born May 6, 1886, and died June 10, 1938, and Nellie Miller Mock, born March 14, 1888 and died December 3, 1957; they were married in October 1909. They were the parents of 6 children: Cecil, Mary, Willard, Glen, June and Jean.
My wife's parents' names are Franklin, born August 26, 1919, and Jean born November 13, 1930. They were married June 30, 1950. They are the parents of four children, my wife, David born April 25, 1953, Jay born September 12, 1956, and Carla born December 2, 1961. David married Cynthia Gasser on October 8, 1971, and they have two children: Christene and Steffanie. Jay and Carla are still living at home.
Sandra and I have been married for five and a half years. We lived for four years on the Adrian Pike on the old Stockman farm. On April 1, 1974, we moved to Township Road 10 to our new A-frame home we built ourselves. I am a machinist and have worked for the Campbell Soup Company for eight years. My grandfather Starkey was also a mechanic there for fifteen years, and my father has been a mechanic there for the last 18 years.
My wife is a licensed Practical Nurse and she has worked at Defiance Hospital for the last four years.
