Samuel Landes Mires (1854-1917)

In a family with so many boys, some must seek opportunity elsewhere, and Samuel's came with a chance to move to the Lake Superior country, where he engaged in lumbering and mining. With his wife, Rene, he lived in Duluth, Minnesota, but his burial place is Young Cemetery, Liberty Center. His only son, James, never married, and died in Liberty Center in 1938.
