The Caroline Schwiebert Bremer Michaelis Family

Caroline Schwiebert, daughter of Henry and Anna (von der Broeling) Schwiebert was born April 21, 1888. She married Albert Bremer of Hamler on April 20, 1911. They were engaged in farming in Monroe Township. Due to the death of her sister, Wilhelmina Redderson after giving birth to her fifth child, the baby, Albert Redder- son, was taken into the Bremer home and cared for by Caroline. He made his home with them until after their death.

The Bremers had two daughters, Laeta, born April 25, 1918, and Christine, born June 11, 1919. They lived on the farm until January 7, 1942, when they moved to Hamler. Albert Bremer worked at the Foster Canning Company until the time of his death, Oct. 4, 1952.

On March 13, 1957, Caroline married William Michaelis and they continued to live in Hamler. Caroline passed away on Feb. 5, 1965, at the age of 76, and Wm. on June 24, 1968.

Christine married Wm. Richholt of Holgate. They have one daughter, Bonnie, born September 8, 1936, who married Lawrence Babcock, Jr. of Napoleon. They have three daughters: Julie Renee, born Dec. 4, 1959; Terri Rachelle, April 4, 1961; and Amy Danielle, born March 2, 1965.

Laeta married Lawrence Frederick who is a truck driver for Central Transport in Defiance, Ohio. They had two sons and one daughter. Dennis, 33, married to Pamela J. Cunningham and works for United Parcel Service in Defiance, Ohio. They have two children, Dennis A., age 9, and Gaynel Lee, age 3. Larry, 28, married Joanie Kernig and is a salesman for Mello- craft in Toledo, Ohio. They have two children, Jason Lee, 4, and Joshua Lee, 1. Christine A., age 24, is a teacher at Fulton Co. Training Center at Wauseon, Ohio.
