The Amelia Kathryn Schwiebert Meyer Family

Amelia Kathryn was born to Fred and Emma Schwiebert on March 28, 1911. She married Arnold Albert Meyer on October 17, 1931. They lived in or near Hamler where Arnold operated a gas station and later did masonry work.

Five sons were born to them: William Frederick, Kenneth Arthur, Donald Louis, Larry Lee, and Gary Lynn.

Amelia passed away on June 22, 1957, after a long illness. In 1958 Arnold (and Gary) moved to Rockledge, Florida, where he worked for Panning Lumber Company. He married Lucille Lillard on February 11, 1960. They lived in Merritt Island, Florida, until 1975 when they moved to Illinois.

Children: William Frederick, born July 21, 1932, married Blodwyn Carole Reams of Ada in 1954. After graduating from Ohio Northern University in 1954, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and is now a captain. They live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and have a daughter, Cathy Elizabeth, born January 31, 1956, and a son, Gregory William, born December 20, 1957. Cathy is attending college in Melbourne, Florida, where she is studying oceanography and related subjects. Greg will graduate from high school in 1976 and is an avid football player.

Kenneth Arthur, born April 1, 1936, was employed at Barhite's part-time from 1953 until 1955. He attended Ohio State for one year, then worked at the store full-time. After the deaths of Dayne and Edna Barhite, he purchased the business in 1971. He was married to the former Shirley Guelde in 1956 and they have two daughters and three sons. Beth Lizette, born July 31, 1957, attends Capital University; Bradley Scott, born February 21, 1959, Curt William, born March 12, 1960, and Jeff Alan, born March 18, 1961, attend Patrick Henry High School. Elizabeth Ann (Betsy), their adopted American Indian daughter, born October 31, 1967, goes to elementary school.

In 1940 Donald Louis was born. He and his wife, Dawn, live in Antwerp and he is employed at B. F. Goodrich. They have a daughter, Reva Dawn, who graduated from high school in 1975 and plans to study nursing at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Larry Lee who is married to the former Janet Groll of Holgate was born on May 20, 1942. They lived in the state of Florida for several years before moving to Paducah, Kentucky, in 1972 where Larry is the manager of West Lumber Yard. They are the parents of four sons: Timothy Allen, born March 5, 1963; Randall Lee, born October 21, 1965; Todd Anthony, born January 13, 1971; and Brian Scott, who arrived on March 9, 1974.

Gary Lynn, born May 3, 1951, moved with his father to Florida in 1958 where he graduated from high school in 1969. After graduation Gary spent time as a pitcher with the Niagara Falls baseball team while attending college. He is now employed as a salesman by Panning Lumber Company of Titusville. He lives in a condominium in Merritt Island.
