Henry McIntosh was born in Portage County, Ohio on February 13, 1825. He married Maria Tilden in Portage County in January of 1850. Maria was born in Portage County, Ohio, on September 24, 1829 to Armah (born in Vermont) and Candia (born in Rhode Island) Tilden. Henry's father was born in New Hampshire and his mother was born in Virginia. Henry and Maria McIntosh settled in Henry County, Ohio in 1851. He served in the 184th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the War of the Rebellion.
Children born to Henry and Maria were Alice L., Adelaide L., Mary J., Kate R., Miley H., and Carl T. McIntosh.
Carl T. McIntosh married Helen Pearl Fauver, daughter of Heiro and Jennie Beckham Fauver. See the Fauver history in this book. The wedding of Carl and Pearl was headlined "Social Event of the Season for Ridgeville Corners" when they were married on December 22, 1897 at the home of the bride.
