Sarah Lukenbill

Sarah Lukenbill was the widow of George Lukenbill. He was born in 1815 and died in 1865. Sarah was born in Ohio in 1815 and they were married in 1835. Their daughter, Helen, was born in 1836.

Sarah came to Henry County in 1823 with her parents. She said in later years that when they arrived the population of the area was almost entirely Indian. She could remember that she had seen as many as six hundred Indians going up the Maumee River in a group.

Sarah lived in Flatrock Township.
