George Conrad Fruth, father of Theresa, was born in 1871 and spent his entire life in Flatrock Township. His parents, John and Catherine Fruth, emigrated from Germany. He married Alta Knipp, daughter of Fred and Diania Mann Knipp, on June 7, 1896. They had three children: Theresa, Diania and Catherine.
Theresa married Charles Linthicum, son of I. Giles and Fannie Murphy Linthicum, on July 10, 1919. Five children were born of this union: Charles, Alta, Nelson, Giles (killed in Korea) and Alene who died at the age of four. Theresa's husband, Charles, died December 31, 1958.
Charles, Jr. married Helen Calmes and they have one daughter, Lisa Lehman.
Alta married Clair (Peanuts) Hoffman and they had four children: Carol White, Patricia Clymer, Michael and Nancy Prater. Clair died March 11, 1957 and Alta married James E. Huff in 1963. He has one son, Greg.
Nelson lives with his mother in the City of Napoleon.
Theresa has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
After the death of her parents, Theresa purchased their Flatrock Township farm which has been in the Knipp family for over 100 years.
