Paternal great-grandparents were natives of Hanover and came to America in 1843; maternal great-grandparents were descendants of an old Palatine family who came to Pa. early in the 18th century. Ed. Valparaiso U. and Bowling Green State U. Teacher and Principal Napoleon Schools 1931-1942; Postal Clerk in Napoleon 1942-1957; Postmaster Napoleon from 1957 until retirement in 1976. Married Laura (Badenhop) Lankenau in 1933. A son, John, born 1946. A graduate of Ohio State in communications and a M.A. in Business Administration at Capital in Columbus in 1975. Director, Market Research at Radio Station WCOL in Columbus.
