John Barr

John Barr was born on February 26, 1804, in Pennsylvania. He died in July, 1883, at Florida, Ohio. In 1804, shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Fairfield County, Ohio.

John married Barbara La Motte in 1829, in Fairfield County, Ohio.

John and his wife came to the Ridgeville area in 1846. Barbara died in 1850, leaving four sons and five daughters. Two daughters had died in infancy.

John married, in 1858, Mrs. Mary Miller, a widow living in Henry County, who had six children from her first marriage.

They moved to Florida, Ohio, in 1868. She is buried in the cemetery there, while John was buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Ridgeville Corners, next to his first wife.
