Lee A. Hudgins Family

On March 31, 1954, a daughter, Lee Ann, was born to Wayne and Genevieve Motter Eicher. Lee's two sisters are Lynn Eicher Parrish and Cathie Eicher Shaffer. The Eicher fmaily lived in Ridgeville Township when Lee was born.

Lee attended Ridgeville Local School until 1968 when she and her parents moved to Bryan, Ohio where Lee graduated from high school. In 1972, the Eicher family returned to Napoleon, Ohio.

Lee continued her education at Ohio State University where she met her first husband, Russell Colangelo of Cleveland, Ohio. Lee and Russell were married on September 6, 1976 in Napoleon, Ohio. Upon Lee's graduation in March 1976 with a B.S. in Agriculture, the couple moved to Altoona, Pennsylvania where Lee worked for the United States Department of Agriculture. During this time, Lee's permanent address remained in Napoleon, and on December 22, 1976 the Henry County Common Pleas Court granted a dissolution of the marriage. Lee's name was restored to Eicher at that time.

While traveling in Pennsylvania, Lee met Gerald D. Hudgins, Jr. of York, Pennsylvania. The romance had an unusual beginning for the two met due to a conversation on a citizen's band radio. Cupid's arrows hit their mark for Lee and Jerry were married in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky, on September 25, 1977.

Jerry was in the U. S. Navy for eight and one-half years during which time he lived in California, the Aleutian Islands, Puerto Rico, and Maine. His parents are Gerald D. and Mildred Hudgins, permanent residents of Tennessee. Jerry was born on May 26, 1947 at Madison, Davidson County, Tennessee.

Lee and Jerry began married life in Kentucky due to Jerry's employement with Industrial Nucleonics, Columbus, Ohio, and Lee continued working for the United States Department of Agriculture.

In February, 1978, they moved to Clarksville, Indiana due to a change in Lee's job location, and will be moving into their home in New Albany, Indiana in February, 1979. A son, Trevor William Eicher Hudgins was born on March 22, 1979.

Jerry's first marriage was to Linda Howard but the marriage ended in divorce. Michael Paul, Jerry's son from that marriage, was born on October 30, 1971 at San Juan, Puerto Rico. Linda re-married and lived in California and Michael lives with her.

Lee's special interests include reading, square dancing, embroider, clowning under the name 'Tiny Tears', and her animals: cats, Popsicle and Phred, and a parakeet, Phido II.

Lee's membership include Ohio State Alumni Association, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Auxiliary, Napoleon, Ohio. Lee and Jerry believe in the Methodist religion, and Lee's membership is with St. Paul United Methodist Church, Napoleon, Ohio.
