Son of Oscar and Lizzie Harmon, Harry was born March 4, 1903, and baptized in 1907 by Reverend M. Thomas, Methodist minister at Napoleon, Ohio. He was confirmed November 3, 1928, by Reverend F. J. Lankenau, the Lutheran pastor at Napoleon.
Josephine M. Vajen, daughter of Henry C. and Caroline Vajen, was born June 18, 1908, and baptized July 19, 1908, and confirmed on April 9, 1922, by Reverend F. J. Lankenau, the Lutheran pastor at Napoleon.

We were married April 7, 1928, by Reverend Lankenau at the St. Paul's parsonage.
We started housekeeping in one of Carl Egger's houses. Harry worked for Carl.
In 1930 we moved to F. P. Diemer place near Liberty Center and started farming.
In 1935 we moved to the Mrs. August Motter farm, which was the old Tanner place.
In 1938 we moved to Mr. and Mrs. George Vajen's farm. In 1940 we started farming 80 acres of the Filling farm and 20 acres of C. D. Brillhart.

After George Vajen's death on April 7, 1957, Aunt Carrie sold us the farm which is 100 acres on which the log cabin once stood. She died July 3, 1961.
