William Fintel Family

William Fintel was born on Nov. 9, 1867. He was the son of Frederick Fintel and Anna (Indorf) Fintel. Their children were Frederick, Henry, Harmon, Catherine, Anna, and William.

In July, 1885, William Fintel came to America from Ilhorn, Germany. He was 17 years, 7 months old and came to Hamler, Ohio on a train to stay with his brother Henry.

William married Melusine Kahle on Aug. 8, 1893. They had three daughters. Emma (1894-1945) married Fred Hoops. Anna (1895) married Harmon Bruns. Ida (1897-1973) married Rudolph Prigge.

On April 25, 1898, William married Mary Binger. She was born on Feb. 5, 1880. She was the daughter of Henry Binger and Barbara (Baker) Binger. Their children were Henry, Barbara, Anna, Harmon, Fred, Mary, William, John, and Emma. Henry died Dec. 18, 1891 and Barbara died Mar. 30, 1891.

The children of William and Mary Fintel were Alvina (1899). She married Carl Lange. Marie (1901) married August lunge. Clara (1903) married Harold Hahn. William (1905) married Hilda Dachenhaus. August (19081962) married Esther Oelfke. Ernest

(1910-1964) married Emilie Rahle. Martin (1912-1937) married Emma Sunderman. Arthur (1915) married Edna Schroeder. Helen was born in 1919 and died in 1926.

William Fintel was a farmer and farmed on Twp. Rd. F, Deshler, Ohio and later on Twp. Rd. G, [Deshler, Ohio. Arthur Fintel lives on the farm now. In 1936, William retired from farming. He lived on Co. Rd. 3, Deshler, Ohio, and on Rt. 65, Deshler, Ohio, and on 429 W. Maple, Deshler, Ohio.

Mary (Binger) Fintel died on Mar. 16, 1952. William Fintel died on Aug. 11, 1955. They are buried at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rt. 65, Deshler, Ohio.
