Robert Patterson Fauver, the son of George and Patence Shepherd Fauver, was born on February 18, 1826 at Newfield, Thompkins Coutny, New York. He married four times.
His first marriage was to Romelia Blaine, daughter of Wilson and Hannah Blaine, who was born in Ridgeville, Lorain County, Ohio. They were married at Ridgeville, Henry County, Ohio on February 21, 1846.
They had two children, Louisa and Wilson Fauver.
After the death of Romelia, Robert married Jane Carpenter in May, 1854 in New York State. She was a daughter of James and Lucine Carpenter, and was born in New York State on December 20, 1836. Robert and Jane had one child, Catharine.
After Jane's death, Robert married Ellen Latham, daughter of Chester and Ruby Latham, natives of Connecticut, on September 18, 1855. Robert and Ellen had three children: Ida Belle, Jaynes Jay, and Ulysses.
Robert married his fourth wife, Gertrude Brown, a widow, on June 10, 1877 at the LeRoy Rogers home in Ridgeville. Gertrude was born on May 11, 1829 and died on November 27, 1910. Robert died on June 5, 1896 at Ridgeville.
Robert Patterson Fauver served in the 103rd OVI for five months and then was given a medical discharge. He served as a postmaster of Ridgeville Corners and was a storekeeper there until the fire of August, 1874 when his store burned to the ground. He then moved to his farm in Ridgeville Township.
Jaynes Jay Fauver, son of Robert Patterson Fauver, was born in 1858 and married on October 20, 1875 to Belle Johnson. Belle died in 1893. Jay married Jenny Robbins as his second wife. Jay died on January 10, 1914. Jay and Belle Fauver had a daughter, Ruth Fauver.
