Heinrich (Henry) Eitzman

Heinrich (Henry) Eitzman was born Oct. 24, 1865 in Visselhovede, Hanover, Germany. He came to the States with his parents Herman and Catherina (Benien) Eitzman at the age of six years. On Dec. 3, 1891 he married Anna Catharine Voigt. Anna was born Oct. 25, 1871 and was the daughter of Johannas Heinrich Voigt and Anna Maria Sophia Dirks. Anna came to the United States at the age of eighteen with her confirmation classmate, Mrs. Emma Badenhop.

To this union were born seven children, Fred, Clara, Winnie, Tillie, Carl, Paul and Emma.

Fred W. was born Aug. 8, 1893 in Pleasant Twp., on June 12, 1921 he married Frieda Anna Marie Tietje. They made their home on a farm in Flatrock Twp. Their children were, Harold, born Jan. 25, 1926, he married Laura Arps, and they are parents of three daughters, Brenda, Beatrice, and Bernice. Beatrice died Jan. 4, 1958. Roger was born July 27, 1927, he married Rhonda Lee. Emans, daughter of Harry S. and Luella (Selanders) Emans, on May 13, 1950. Their children are Kathy, Michael, Renae and Randy. Roger is an electrician for Chrysler Corp. of Perrysburg, Ohio. Marvin was born Feb. 16, 1931 and died March 12, 1931. Fred died July 20, 1976. There were five generations of Eitzman in St. Johns Lutheran Church.

Clara married Clarence Engel. They lived on a farm in Pleasant Twp. and were the parents of two children, Virginia Lee and Paul. Clarence died in 1954. In 1960 Clara married Oliver Dirr. Clara died in 1970.

Winnie married Martin Amling, he died in 1963. Winnie lives in Pana, Ill.

Tillie married Martin Amling, he was in the Rose Industry in Pana, Ill. To them were born five children, William, Martin Jr., Warren, Arol, and James. Tillie died in 1957 and Martin in 1963.

Carl married Alameda Groll, they were the parents of Dorothy, Jeanette, Marion — 1929-1953, Joyce, Helen, Jacqueline, Dale, James, Bonnie, and Sandra. Carl was a carpenter and they lived in Holgate, he died in 1958.

Paul is married to Mildred Rettig, they are the parents of two sons, Jerry and Tom. Paul farms the home place.

Emma married Albert Theiroff and have two children, Lavon and Janet. 1 hey live on a farm in Defiance Co.
