Sophia Meyer Drewes Family

Sophia was born on June 16, 1882, and married Charles Drewes on January 19, 1905. They lived in Hamler and Marion Township all their married life. They bought the Ferd Duding farm on August 9, 1934, and lived there until their death. Sophia died on February 28, 1960, at the age of seventy-eight years. Charles died on June 5, 1959, at the age seventy-nine years.

They were the parents of four sons: Alvin, Lawrence, Eldor and Walter. Alvin, of Toledo, married Ester Gerken and they had two sons. Richard married Suzanne Reitz, and Roger married Maureen Snyder.

Lawrence, of Deshler, married Helen Hoops, and has two sons and one daughter. Ruth Marilyn married Melvin Lange. Robert married Danelda Behrman, and Lester married Rose Anna Mansfield.

Eldor, of Gerald, married Louise Meyer and has two sons and two daughters: Ronnie, Keith, Vivian, and Cynthia.

Walter, of Hamler, married Louise Meyer and they have one son and two daughters. Walter, Jr., married Brenda Baumgardner, and Mary married Dennis German, and Lois married Rodney Miller.
