George Daum

George Daum, the son of George and Margaret Daum who were both born in France on the exact same hour, day, town and year of 1798, was born in France in 1834.

George married in 1871 Rachel E. Spieth, who was born in 1848.

Their children were Margaret, George, Susan, Charles, William, Hattie, and Frank.

George Daum came to Henry County in 1846 and served as Pleasant Township clerk, a justice of the peace, and was county sheriff, from 1872, for a number of years.

He served in Company D, 124th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.
