John Philip Cummins, 1867-1948, and Florence M. Meek Cummins, 1865-1929, had the following child.
Carl M. Cummins married Clara March in 1911 and their children are Milton, at Holgate, Ohio; Marie, at Napoleon, Ohio; Charles, or Bud, at Cadillac, Michigan; and Marcus, at Goleta, California.
Carl and Clara bought the home farm of eighty acres and moved there in the spring of 1949 and brought his machine shop equipment along from Toledo. Carl invented and patented and built two automoatic lock washer and stamping machines. Later, they bought the forty acres adjoining to the north which was partly wooded, cleared off the wooded area, and did extensive work installing drainage tile over the entire one hundred and twenty acres, and thus made the farm a very productive one.
Carl died on January 14, 1976, and is interred in the Cole Cemetery, Flatrock Township. Clara lives on the farm.
Roy M. married Clara Morey in 1911 and their children are Joseph and Julian, of Akron, Ohio, Donald, of Hopewell, Virginia, Bebe married Roberty Shisler of Mansfield. A daugh ter, Frances, and son, James, or John, are deceased.
Roy retired from the Goodrich Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio, and he died on August 17, 1967 and is interred in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Twinsburg, Ohio. Clara died on December 13, 1971 and is interred in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon, Ohio.
Lawrence A. married Helen Knapp and lived in Toledo, Ohio, where son, Lowell, was born in 1929 and daughter, Mary Ann, was born in 1937. Lowell is married and lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and has a son, Steven. Mary Ann is married to Harry Dionyssiou, lives in Toledo, Ohio, and has sons, Andrew and Phillip.
Helen died in 1973 and Lawrence A. died on July 3, 1974, and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio. Lawrence A. was an engineer and retired from the Pure Oil Refinery.
Clarence E. married Ann E. Ralston who born on August 7, 1891, of Defiance, in 1916. Martha B. was born on December 14, 1916 and a son was born on September 39, 1926. Ann E. died on January 28, 1974 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio.
Clarence E. retired from the Defiance Grocery Company in 1957 and had served as a salesman for forty years.
Beulah D. married Orville Knapp and had the following children. Bonnie married Robert Helt, of Holgate, Beverly married John Schlosser of Trenton, Michigan, Natalie married
Lawrence Barnes, of Hamler, and James married Arlene Hoff and lives in Toledo.
Orville retired from General Motors Foundry, Defiance, Ohio, and he died in 1972, and is buried in Cole Cemetery. Beulah lives in her home at 410 Brayer Street, Holgate, Ohio.
Martha B. and Clarence R. live with their father at 500 Ralston Avenue, Defiance, Ohio.
