William John Crozier was born on July 23, 1823 in Ireland. He was a carder and fuller, and owned and operated carding mills. He came to America in 1837. He owned a carding mill at Defiance, Ohio.
His first wife was Anna Ross. They were married on December 8, 1842, in Miami County, Ohio at Piqua.
Anna Ross was born on December 24, 1824/25 and died March 11, 1855 at Defiance, Ohio. The children born to William and Anna were:
Sarah Elizabeth, Louisa Jane, who died as an infant, George Washington, Robert Johnston, Lena Ann, Mary Frances. and William who died as a baby.
William John Crozier died on December 20, 1905 at Texas, Ohio and is buried in the Texas cemetery.
Sarah Elizabeth was ban on October 24, 1843 at Piqua, Ohio. The family moved to Defiance, Ohio in 1851 from Perry Township, Shelby County, Ohio. Sarah died on January 27, 1914 at Liberty Center, Ohio. She married on October 17, 1866 John Wesley Wright. He was engaged in the mercantile business at Texas and in 1908, they moved to Liberty Center, Ohio and retired from business.
Leuiza Jane was born on June 2, 1845, and died on June 16, 1846.
George Washington was born on July 31, 1847. He is buried at Columbia City, Indiana. He married Mary Ann Rogers in 1867. Mary Ann was born on February 7, 1850 and died on September 6, 1881 and is buried at Columbia City, Indiana. See the George Washington Crozier history in this book.
Robert Johnston Crozier was born on December 22, 1848. He married Celeste and had Alva, Wesley and Earl.
Lena Ann Crozier was born at Sidney, Ohio on August 15, 1850. She married Herman Cook. Son Walter married Arcelia. Arcelia taught Spanish and Walter was a professor of law at Loyola University, Los Angeles, California. Walter died on August 8, 1966. They had two children who died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Carol Smith.
Mary Francis Crozier was born on October 25, 1852 and died on May 2, 1930 at Texas, Ohio. She married Samuel Ginder. They had two children who died in infancy. They lived at Texas and are probably buried in the cemetery at Texas, Ohio.
William was born on January 10, 1855 and died on September 6, 1855.
His second marriage was to Louisa Jane Lucas who he married on July 3, 1856 in Defiance, Ohio.
Louisa was born March 28, 1838 in Whitehouse, Ohio, Lucas County. She died on June 5, 1881 at Texas, Ohio and is buried there.

Adam was born January 22, 1852 in Florida, Ohio. He died December 1, 1919 in St. Mary's Hospital, Winfield, Kansas and is buried in Mt. Mora Cemetery.

Ennes, M.D. They lived in Liberty Center, Ohio until retirement, then lived with their only daughter, Ruby (Mrs. Paul Barker) in Lakeland, Florida
Gertrude Bell Crozier born June 16, 1874 at Texas, Ohio, died September 16, 1957 at Long Beach, California and is buried in Mt. View Cemetery, San Bernadino, California. She married Percy 0. Wadsworth on February 27, 1902. Percy was born May 21, 1877 in Elyria, Ohio. They adopted Eileen, and raised a neighbor girl, Trudy Lusk. In 1967, Eileen and Percy (Uncle Billy) were living in Paradise, California. Percy celebrated his 90th birthday, and died on April 5, 1968 at Paradise, California. Percy's sister and mother lived out their days in the home that was Thomas Edison's. Percy's grandmother and Thomas Edison's mother were sisters.
David Tilden Crozier was born on September 21, 1876 at Texas, Ohio. He died in 1900 in the Philippine Islands, and is buried in the Texas, Ohio cemetery.
Emma Eugenia Crozier was born at Texas, Ohio on July 3, 1879 and died at Liberty Center, Ohio on October 14, 1959. She was married to John Stimmel Mires on June 10, 1908. John was born on October 25, 1866 in Franklin County, Ohio. He died at Liberty Center on March 4, 1960. He owned the town paper for years, and after he retired, he wove beautiful rugs. Issue of Emma and John Mires were:
Hannah Louisa Mires who was born on February 14, 1916. She is an instructor of Music in Liberty Center, Ohio. She married first Fred M. Bonner who died leaving one child, Leon F. Bonner. She married secondly Cecil Strock. Hannah Louisa and Cecil Strock issue are David Carl, Cecily, John, Charlotte, James, Suzanne. All are musical.
The second child of Emma and John Mires is John Kingsley Mires who was born on May 12, 1918. He works for the Toledo Blade newspaper. He married on June 15, 1941 Marguerite (Rita) Miller. Their children are Karen Sue born April 13, 1945 and Craig Allen born on December 26, 1943.
David Wesley Mires was born on May 4, 1921 and is a designer for Cooper Tire Company of Findlay, Ohio, and lives in Findlay. He married Rolla Irene McMaster on October 23, 1950. They have Laurie Ann, born on April 21, 1952 and now married, Malissa Amelia born on December 2, 1958, Lucinda born in 1963, and David Sloan Betts born in 1966.
Squire William Crozier was about sixteen years of age when he was brought to this country by his father on a sailing vessel. From New York City the father moved to Pennsylvania and later to Piqua, Ohio where he died. From Piqua, Squire William came to Defiance, Ohio.
Squire Crozier's first wife was Anna Ross, who died after the birth of two sons and three daughters, all who grew to adulthood and married.
For many years he served as a justice of the peace. He had ability as a speaker and many times appeared in some of the old log schoolhouses of the country campaigning in the interests of his friends.
William and his second wife had three children in Defiance County, and then moved to Texas, Henry County, Washington Township. There he had woolen mills, which he sold and bought a sawmill, conducting it with Mr. Smith as a partner.
Louisa Jane Lucas Crozier was the daughter of David and Catharine DeMuth Lucas, dau of Gottlieb DeMuth, Jr. of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Gottlieb died there in January, 1825. David died in 1857, Catherine, 1815-1896, at Whitehouse, Ohio. Catharine had D.A.R. eligibility.
