Carl Connolly was born April 20, 1907. He was the son of Eugene and Mary(Greiner) Connolly; and was a Superintendent in the drop forge of the Willys Overland, later named Kaiser-Jeep Corporation. He married Geraldine McClure, February 25, 1929, the daughter of Dora Thomas and Catherine (Klein) McClure. They have three children: Timothy, Carl, Terry James, and Carol Jean. They all live in Defiance, Ohio.
Timothy, a Korean war veteran, now a security sergeant at General Motors, married Jean Grant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Grant. They have four children: Mary, a cosmetologist; Patricia, a college student at University of Toledo; and Amy and Timothy.
Terry James, a retired A.W,.1, First Class Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy, now working for Brown Bakery Company, married Lorraine Lachance, daughter of Harvey and Antoinette Lachance. They have three children: Kathleen, Joline, and Michael. All live in Defiance, Ohio.
Carol, a tax accountant, married Michael McCormick, son of Clarence and Esther McCormick. He is a stock clerk for National Lime and Stone Company. They have three children: Deborah, a college student at Bluffton College, Patrick and Susan. They live in Vanlue, Ohio.
Carl died March 1, 1976, and is buried at Mohler Cemetery, Washington Township, Henry County, Ohio. Geraldine is living in Defiance, Ohio.
