Amos Cole

Amos Cole was born in New York State in 1803 and died in Henry County, Ohio in 1863. He was married to Nancy Watts in 1831 and came to Henry County in 1833.

He was one of the commissioners that organized the county. He held the office of county commissioner for several terms. He also served as an associate judge for the county.

The Coles had six children. The Cole Cemetery in Flatrock Township is part of the old Cole farm.
