Arthur Thomas Casteel, son of Thomas and Mary Angelina (Hayes) was born in 1878 on the Sand Ridge Road in Henry County. He taught school at Randall Hill School and married Lola Rich of Damascus Township in 1906.
Four daughters were born to them: Bernice (Saneholtz), Meredith (Osborn), Virginia (Courtright), and Carolyn (Spieth).

Mr. Casteel had a billiards hall in 1909 and later ran the Dreamland and Elite Theatres, all on North Perry Street in Napoleon. In 1914 he had the RCH Auto Agency. In 1920 he had an insurance agency on West Washington Street from which he retired in 1944.
