Robert E. Brown

Robert (Bob), son of Earl and Bernetta (Austermiller) Brown was born on September 24, 1936. He has lived around McClure, Ohio, all his life and attended Damascus Township High School.

In the United Brethren Church on September 30, 1954, he married Carole Babcock, daughter of Harman and Lois (Woodring) Babcock. We have four children: Jacklyn, born June 26, 1956; Rex, born August 10, 1957; Johnny, born August 15, 1960; Jocelyn, born January 29, 1966.

Bob has worked for the S. E. Johnson Construction Co., Fryman's Bottle Gas, and is now employed by Arther S. Langenderfer Construction Co. of Toledo.

We bought the Phil Mollett property at the north edge of McClure, in 1965, remodeled the house and movedin August of 1967. Bob has been a McClure Volunteer Fireman for eighteen years. In 1969, along with Tom and Naomi Good, we purchased the old Coral Steele property north and east of McClure and began developing a trailer court. We named the court Willow Haven because of the one willow tree on the property. The first trailer moved into the court and was occupied in April, 1971, and we have spaces for twenty-five trailers.
