Ludwig Brinkman and Christina Fechter lived in Germany. Their son Christopher Brinkman married Anna Mary Heinien and came to the United States and settled in Crawford County, Ohio. Their children were Mary, Elizabeth, Jacob, Daniel, Frederick, Christopher, Jr., Ludwig, John and Henry.
Henry was born July 15, 1832, and married April 2, 1857, Elizabeth Reiter. Their children were: Anna Carolina, born February 23, 1872, died May 28, 1874; Harriet (Hattie), born April 3, 1877, died in 1967; Mary E., born June 13, 1866, died in 1935; John Wesley, born August 13, 1863, died January 1954; Henry Franklin, born December 21, 1860, died in 1935; and Sarah Cinderalla born November 4, 1858, died January 19, 1948.
John Wesley Brinkman married Anna M. Demland and had five children: Harry Brinkman born July 14, 1889; Robert Wesley, born June 5, 1891 and died September 12, 1892; Charles Henry, born June 23, 1892, died April 16, 1965; John Orville, born November 22, 1898; Elmer Daniel Brinkman, born November 6, 1901, married Carmen V. Rettig on May 7, 1931.
Paul Brinkman was born on May 24, 1935, and married Dee Brinkman. Rosanna Brinkman married Merle Kagy. Richard Brinkman married Nancy R. Okuley.
One hundred and seventy-five people gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Brinkman to help them celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. They had lived in their present home in the Pleasant Bend community for forty-seven years.
