Linford Boyd was born on May 14, 1924 at Ecorse, Michigan, to Linford F. and Florence Rhody Boyd.
Linford served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Washington during World War II from December 17, 1941 until October, 1945.
He married Doris M. Shelt on March 17, 1946. Doris is a daughter of Francis Vernon and Gladys S. Grant Shelt. The Shelt history is in Volume I.
They lived in Flat Rock, Michigan from 1946 until December, 1958 when they moved to Napoleon, Ohio. Lin started working on the Detroit and Ironton Railroad, out of Flat Rock, Michigan, in October, 1945. He is an engineer for the Railroad, working out of Napoleon, Ohio, in 1978.
Linford and Doris Boyd have two children.
Denise Lynn Boyd was born on March 15, 1961 and adopted on April 22, 1961. She will graduate from Four County Vocational School in 1979.
Bruce Eugene Boyd was born on May 24, 1962 and adopted on May 29, 1962. He is a student at Napoleon High School, Napoleon, Ohio.
