Charles (1841-1901) and Alzada Thompson Boulton (1846-1927) were married in 1866. For several years they lived in Morrow County.

In 1883 they moved to Henry County. They purchased a farm 1/4 mile south of Grelton, Ohio. A grandson, Orlo Jones now owns and lives on the farm.
Charles was a carpenter and farmer. He built the house and barn on the farm on which he resided until his death.
They had 5 children — 1. "Daza" (1870-1953). She married "Mert" Jones (1868-1934). They were the parents of Hudson, Fay, Orlo, and Lola; 2. Fred (1872-1964) married Maude E. Nichols (1877-1962). They raised a niece, Lucille Boulton McComb. Fred graduated from Defiance College in 1895. He worked as agent and telegrapher at the Grelton depot. In 1906 the family moved to Grand Rapids, Ohio. He retired after 49 years of service on the railroad; 3. Lina (1875-1969) married Dick Hollopeter (1870-1899). They were the parents of Bernice Shuler and Dick. Later she married Jim Shidler (1861-1932). Their children are Beatrice, Mabel, William, and Dorothy. Mabel is deceased; 4. Ortho (18771953) married Delphia Hecker (18761936). They lived on the home farm, later moving to Harrison, Michigan. Later he married Lura Packard Sheller (1874-1954) and moved back to Grelton. All are buried in the Grelton Cemetery; 5. "Myrtle" married Earl Landis. Their children are Elsie, Lowell, Florence, Charles and Cecil. Myrtle, Earl and Elsie are buried at Weston, Ohio. Charles is buried at Beaumont, Texas.

Amos H. Nichols (1857-1915) and Sarah A. Woodell Nichols (1856-1940) were the parents of Maude who married Fred Boulton. They lived in Henry County before moving to Trumbull County. Their son W. Edward Nichols (1879-1963) lived in our county until the doctor advised him to go south. When 19 years old, he went to work for the Gulf Corporation in Louisianaand Texas. He served as overseer and manager of the oil fields. He never married. After retirement, he lived with his niece, Lucille. He gave 5 acres of ground to the Grelton Cemetery. He also left a trust fund for perpetual upkeep of the cemetery.
