Vernon Paul Hoyt, 74, of Liberty Center died Thursday at Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
Born Dec. 29, 1931, in Colton, he was the son of Francis Leon and Bessie Irene (Ernst) Hoyt.
A U S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was also a production worker for Perfection Finish, Wauseon, retiring in 1979. He was a member of V.F.W., American Legion and AMVETS, all of Sandusky.
He is survived by two sisters, Vivian Hoover of Liberty Center and Dorothy (Herman) Goldsmith of Delta; and three brothers, Francis (Attalie) of Swanton, Byron (Betty) of Toledo and Cyril (Othella) of Liberty Center.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Hoyt, Valletia Nail Kamer arid Genevive Gramling.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Harold Rhoads officiating. Interment will be at Heath Cemetery, with military services by Liberty Center V.F.W. and American Legion.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
