Carlos C. Bernal Sr., 57, of Findlay died Sunday at Fox Run Manor, Findlay.
Born Dec. 19, 1949, in Fostoria, he was the son of Eddie L. Bernal Sr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and the late Anastasia Cabrera.
A U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, he was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was employed as a chef at his father's restaurant business and worked at GM Powertrain before retiring after 10 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Bryan Post, AMVETS and Eagles, both of Bryan.
He is also survived by two sons, Carlos Jr. and Benjemin, both of Ohio; four brothers, Jesse (Sally) of Defiance, Christopher of Fort Worth, Texas, Gilbert (Ofelia) of Findlay and Henry of Augusta, Ga.; and three sisters, Martha (Alex) Rodriquez of Sugarhill, Ga., Angie (Ruben) Martinez of Winder, Ga., and Connie (Ray) Peare of Phoenix.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie Jr., John and an infant brother.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Father Dennis Walsh officiating. V.F.W. Post #3360 will perform military rites.
There will be no visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Defiance County Veteran’s Service Commission.
Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance, is in charge of the arrangements.
