Obituary: Nina Young, 89, of Deshler died Sunday at Country View Haven of Napoleon. Born April 11, 1908, in Colton, she was the daughter of John and Hattie Mae (Hiser) Davis. On March 6, 1944, she married Benjamin Young, who preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1966. She was employed for several years at the former Tem-Cole Radish Plant of McClure. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Jane Rosebrook of Robert Lee, Texas; a brother, Howard Davis of Neosho, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 16 step great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Rachal Wolff; and a sister, Flossie Slee. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday [22 May 1997] at the Rodenberger Funeral Home of Deshler, Rev. R. I. Barnett officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery of Deshler. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to the Deshler EMS.
