Wm. Wesner Dies in Hamler Home
Hamler Man, Aged 70, Dies Following a Severe Heart Attack
William Wesner, 70, died at his home in Hamler, Saturday, after an illness extending over a period of four weeks Heart trouble was given as the cause of his death.
Mr. Wesner was born in Pennsylvania on November 11, 1853 and died at his home in Hamler on January 31, 1931, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 20 days. He received his education in the grade schools which were common at the time of his youth. He came to Henry County when but ten years of age and has spent the entire balance of his life in Hamler.
In 1881 he was united in marriage to Miss Jane Newell who has preceded him in death. To this union four children were born, Wm. A. and Jacob J. of Hamler and Cora N. and John E. of Colorado, all of whom survive. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Hamler with Rev. Rudy of Holgate officiating. Burial was in the Ridge cemetery.
Out of town persons attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Newell, Mr. and Mrs. John Newell, Mrs Boyer and children, Mr. Simon Boyer, Mrs. Ella Funchion, Ines Newell, Ray Boyer, and Mrs. Hazel Sites, all of Deshler; Ray Newell of McComb, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fackler and Wm. Meyers of Napoleon and Mealy Frose of Toledo.
