Obituary: DONA VAN SCOYOC Dona Esther Van Scoyoc, 85, formerly of 420 Butternut, Deshler, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Davis Manor, West Lafayette, Ind. She was born Oct 24, 1906, In Van Buren Township, Putnam County, to Albert and Amy (Wingate) George. She married Homer Van Scoyoc in May, 1947, and he died March 1, 1986. Mrs. Van Scoyoc was a homemaker. She was a member of Belmore United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son, George, of West Lafayette, Ind.; two grandchildren, and sisters, Gail George, of Napoleon, and Mrs. Eldon (Maver) Tobias, of Ottawa. She was preceded In death by brothers, Arthur and Paul George, and a sister, Alta Snyder. Funeral services were held Nov. 23 in the Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler. The Revs. J. Philip Klinger and David Cattrel officiated. Burial was In McComb Union Cemetery. A memorial service was held Nov. 24 in the First United Methodist Church, West Lafayette, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Belmore United Methodist Church.
