Clara Bell Romaker, 65, of 223 Stearns Ave., Deshler, died April 14 in Blanchard Valley Hospital. She had been in failing health since September. Mrs. Romaker was born April 22, 1921 in Hammansburg, to Carl and Elizabeth (Wolfe) Van Vorce. On Oct. 1, 1939, she married Thomas Romaker, and he died Jan 30, 1972. Survivors include one son, Thomas, of Findlay; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Krebs of Elmore, Mrs Jeff (Cathy) Schrieber of Leipsic, Margaret Dennis of Venice Fla., 10 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Van Vorce of Garden Grove, Calif.; Dale Van Vorce of Findlay and one sister, Mrs. Thelma Feak, of Houston, Tex. She had worked for the last 10 years at Deshler Products. She was a member of the Deshler American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge in Leipsic; the DAV and VFW both of Findlay; and the Immaculate Conception Church, Deshler. Funeral services were Thursday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler with the Rev. Joseph Schmelzer officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
