Funeral services for Ruth E. McKibben, 75, formerly of Continental, were held Sept. 18 at Snyder Funeral Home in Continental with the Rev. James Fry officiating. Burial was in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Mrs. McKibben died Sept. 15 at Leisure Oaks Convalescent Center in Defiance. She was born Jan. 3, 1912 in Putnam county to Albert and Anna (White) Rayle Sr. She married William "Ray" Grant on Sept. 16, 1931 and he died in 1946. She married Clyde "Jeff" McKibben on April 4, 1947 and he died March 7, 1987. Surviving are a son, Bruce of Edon; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Nona) Simon of Hamler; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Rayle of New Bavaria and Albert Rayle Jr. of Oakwood. Mrs. McKibben retired in 1977 from Defiance Hospital, where she had been a cook. She was a member of the Free Christian Church of God in Continental.
