Robert (Popeye) Palmerton 43, Deshler died in blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay where he had been a patient for two weeks since suffering a heart attack. The son of Henry and Eva (Wymer) Palmerton, he was born Feb. 23, 1938, in North Baltimore and lived most of his life in the Deshler area. He married Eva Prowant on Oct. 13, 1962, and she survives. Mr. Palmerton had been a machinist and stockroom employee at Differential Steel, Findlay. He was a member of ARCA racing organization; North Baltimore Eagles Lodge #2633 and Findlay Eagles Lodge #2118. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served four years in the Army Reserve. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Kimberly) Luna of Deshler, and Roberta (Bobbie), at home; three brothers, William of Sebring, Fla., Carl of Titusville, Pa. and Charles (Barney) Brown of Chicago, Il.; and five sisters, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Poe of Van Buren, Mrs. Robert (Vernie) Russell of Findlay, Mrs. Frances Fackler of North Baltimore, Mrs. Helen Rea of Erie, Pa., and Mrs. Vince (Snooks) DeFrank of Findlay. Funeral services were held at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Paul Conrad officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
