Rev. w. Fred Wintermute, 65, of Custar Rd. died at his residence. He was a retired minister, having served Methodist churches in Hamden, Oak Hill West Portsmouth, Dunkirk, Rushville, Springfield and Logan. he retired in Logan, where he had a seven-church charge. Wintermute, who was ordained in 1954, was a member of the Eastern Star in Hamden. He was a member of the Hamden Mineral Masonic Lodge and the Liberty Grange, Ada. He was born Oct. 9, 1915 in Sunbury to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wintermute (Mary Harrison). He married Rev. Betty E. Wend on May 7, 1939 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Lewis of Custar; a son, Jan S. of Findlay; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Yates of Logan and one grandson. The funeral was at the Leonard Lyke Funeral Home, Logan.
