Mr. Israel H. Weatherhead, long time resident and highly respected citizen of Deshler, passed away quite suddenly last Thursday at his home here.
For the past few years, Mr. Weatherhead's health had been failing, and several years ago, he was compelled to give up his active work in the employ of the Deshler Farmers Elevator Company. In the past few weeks, the deceased was seen up town, and few of his friends realized his serious condition, until word came of his demise. He died at his home on N. Lind Street.

He was united in marriage to Miss Malinda Alfereta Young on December 22nd, 1876 and to this union one child was born, who passed to its heavenly home in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Weatherhead raised two foster children.
Mr. Weatherhead was bereaved of his companion on July 26th, 1925, after 49 years of wedded life. He had been a faithful employee of the Deshler Farmers Elevator Company of Deshler for about 15 years.
The deceased spent about forty years of his life in Deshler where he was well known to all, being an honest, industrious man, always having a warm spot in his heart for those he knew.
He leaves to mourn their loss three sisters, Mrs. Francis Wambaugh of Degraff, O., Mrs. Sarah Heminger of Jackson, Michigan and Dell Latimer of Battle Creek, Michigan. One brother and two sisters and one half-brother and six half-sisters have passed to their crowning to await his arrival.
