Obituary: Neva Hines Neva M. Hines, 98, of McClure, died Tuesday, April 11, at Northcrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Napoleon. She was born June 6, 1901, in Grand Rapids to John Edward and Clistia Ann (Fry) Weaver. She married Clifford E. Hines on Oct. 5, 1922, in Henry County and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the McClure United Methodist Church. She was a past member of Roberts-McMillen Post #322 American Legion Auxiliary in McClure and a member of Esther Circle of her church. Mrs. Hines is survived by her son, Galen (Joy), of Toledo, daughters, Dorothy (Lester) Shufelt, of McClure, and Marilyn Shaneyfelt, of Tucson, AZ, and sister, Leona (Clyde) Tonjes, of Grand Rapids. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Neoma McAdam, and brother, Gale Weaver. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 14, in the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure, with the Rev. Thomas Moyer officiating. Burial was in Hockman Cemetery in McClure. The family suggests that memorials be made to the McClure Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
