Obituary: Mr. S. C. VanBuren, father of Emma McMurray, was killed by a Big Four train in Carey. Neighbors saw him walk along the tracks busy counting some change just as a passenger train came along the running at a rate of 40 miles per hour, The beam of the pilot struck him in the back throwing him about 0 feet, killing him instantly.
