Kenneth D. Rice, 74, Grelton, died May 8 at Henry County Hospital. He was born in Fulton County of Sept. 5, 1912, to Charles F. and Lydia (Vonier) Rice. He married Nellie Tonjes on April 29, 19133 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Terry of Niles, Mich. and Roger of McClure; one sister, Sally Tonjes of Napoleon; five grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur, Roscoe and Charles Jr. A retired inspector at Central Foundry, General Motors, Defiance. He was a graduate of Malinta-Grelton High School, a former 4-H leader, a member of Grelton Cemetery Board, and a former member of K of P Lodge, Grelton. Services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walker Mortuary in Napoleon with the Rev. Robert Damschroder, pastor at McClure United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Grelton Cemetery.
