Obituary: Ernest F. Tietje, 86, rural Hamler died Monday evening at Blakely Care Center of North Baltimore, Ohio. Born in Ridgeville Township of Henry County on Oct. 6, 1904, he was the son Herman and Anna (Bickman) Tietje. On Oct. 5, 1930, he married Viola Bern and she survives. A retired area farmer he had also worked as a stock handler for Sylvania Electric Co. and was a member of Deshler's Peace Lutheran Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Wanda Mlinarik of Bowling Green and Linda Logsdon of Marion, Ohio; two sons, Ernest C. of McClure and Eldon of Fayetteville, NC and nine grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, Rev. Paul Lehenbauer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
