[Excerpt] Newton Turney, it is thought, boarded a freight train. His horribly mangled remains were found by a farmer, just after a freight train had gone east. When found Mr. Turney was still alive, and it is said he lived between 20 and 30 minutes. His right limb was severed from his body at the hips and his right arm close to the shoulder. He also had a fracture of the skull over the right eye.
