August Sunderman, 89, formerly of 131 W. Elm St., Deshler, died Dec. 21 at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center. He was born Sept. 17, 1898, in Kirchlinteln, Germany, to Herman H. and Dorothy Lucy (Cordes) Sunderman. He married Hilda Sandman in 1919 and she died Jan. 14, 1980. Sunderman retired in 1975 as a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler. Funeral services were held Dec. 24 at the church with the Rev. Paul Lehenbauer officiating. Burial ws in the church cemetery. Bloor Funeral Home, Deshler, was in charge of arrangements.
