Harvey W. Schulze, 62, of rural McClure, died of natural causes Dec. 2 at his residence. He was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Henry County to John and Anns (Gruenhagen) Schulze. He married Luetta Cordes on Dec. 1, 1946 and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth of Toledo, Roger and James both of McClure; a daughter, rs Tom (Sandy) Wagner of Findlay; six grandchildren; a brother Marvin of College Station, Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Leona) Drewes of Hamler, and Mrs. Raymond (Doretta) Meyer of Deshler. Schulze was a farmer. He was a World War II Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He had served on the board of directors of the former Farmers' State Bank and the former Dime Bank, now the Mid-American Bank, McClure. He was a member and past commander of Roberts-McMilen American Legion Post 332. McClure; a member and past president of the Henry County Bolwling Association and the Regional Tomato Growers' Association; and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler, where he had served as a deacon and on the church council. Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at the church with the Rev. Roger Marlow officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure, was in charge of arrangements.
