Mrs. Adam Schneider (nee Catherine Young) was born in Prussia, Germany, Nov. 20, 1851, and died Jan. 22, 1903, aged 51 years, 1 month and 23 days, after an illness of seven months' duration, of malignant tumor. Her suffering was Intense, but the bore it with a patient endurance until the end.

She came to America in 1876, and was united in marriage to Adam Schneider, June 16, 1878, in the Roman Catholic church at Custar, O., and In this faith she was reared and died a believer in the Christian religion.

To this union were given eight children, five of whom, together with the husband and three grandchildren, are left to mourn their loss, three children and one grandchild having preceded her to the Great Beyond.

The funeral services were held in the U. B. church, Sunday, 25th inst., Rev. R. C Swisher officiating, followed by the impressive funeral services of the Lady Maccabees, to which order she belonged.
